It’s day 2 of Camp Funshine and we have been having lots of fun!
First we did our morning routine and got stars in the self care and house helper categories.
Then we got to play outside while mommy hung the washing out. It’s gotta get done somehow! By 10:00 we were ready to start our fun activities.
After we had completed our chores, we did some homeschool fun. School doesn’t sound much like fun but when I got these Frozen game cards for free with my shopping at Morrisons yesterday I saw a number and letter learning opportunity. After 30 mintues it was time to bake!
We made chocolate orange muffins!
They were very yummy and so easy to make.
Chocolate orange muffins
150g plain white flour
1 t baking powder
2 T cocoa powder
125g soft butter
125g caster sugar
2 eggs, lightly whisked
100g orange milk chocolate (we used some of Terry’s chocolate orange), chopped into small pieces
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees centigrade. Then in a bowl cream the butter and sugar then add the eggs. Mix well. Add the flour, baking powder and cocoa with the chocolate and mix well. Spoon into muffin cases in a muffin tin and bake for 14-16 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the muffins come out clean.
Allow to cool on a baking rack.
DD gets to help me with food preparation at camp and today we had the last of the sausage rolls, a small cheese and a stawberry kebab with water.
This afternoon we are writing letters to Disney Princesses. If you write fan letters and mail them to the following address:

I can’t wait to see DD’s face when she receives a letter from Cinderella in the mail!
What are you getting up to today?
