We all know that honey and lemon have soothing properties for sore throats. So it makes sense to keep both on hand. But surely it makes sense to have some of my honey and lemon tea mix ready to go during the cold and flu season, right?
It’s so simple to make. Just grab yourself a clean sterilised jar then add three sliced lemons and enough honey to fill the jar. Seal the jar and shake it up. Leave for a couple of days in the fridge to infuse and it’s ready to go.
To make up, place a couple of tablespoons of the mixture in a mug. Add boiled water and stir. Allow to cool until its a drinkable heat and enjoy for a nicely soothed throat.
I’ve even added this mix to chamomile tea or regular tea without milk.
Let me know how you enjoy it!
Bright autumn blessings,
